Recent Offshore Rig Activity Notes Sample
Below is a sample of the 53 rig activity notes from the last week available to RigLogix subscribers.
Tuesday, November 28, 2017   |   Noble Bob Douglas   |   12,000 ft.   Drillship
Further to a RigLogix report from 17 November, ExxonMobil has been given approval to drill a deepwater wildcat well, targeting the Antrim prospect in the Green Canyon 364 area in the US Gulf of Mexico. UDW drillship Noble Bob Douglas is already out on location and the well is expected to take 90 days to complete. After the Antrim well, the rig will begin a three-year charter with ExxonMobil off Guyana, where it will drill development wells for the Liza project.

Wednesday, November 29, 2017   |   ENSCO 106   |   400 ft.   Jackup
Jackup ENSCO 106 (400'-IC) has departed Singapore and is enroute to the Tangguh PSC off Indonesia for the start of its five-year plus three-year option contract with BP. The rig had been undergoing contract preparations at the KeppelFELS yard including being reflagged to Indonesia as part of the cabotage requirement in the country.

Friday, December 01, 2017   |   ENSCO 8504   |   8,500 ft.   Semisub
Following its July 2017 tender, market sources indicate Repsol has awarded a contract to ENSCO with semi ENSCO 8504 (8,500') for a five-well (216 days) plus one-well option program in the Ca Rong Do field in Block 135/136/03 off Vietnam. Work is scheduled to begin in April 2018, with the firm portion keeping the rig busy to November. The rig has been stacked since November 2016, although it underwent 60 days of upgrade work to its mooring system earlier this year.

Monday, December 04, 2017   |   ENSCO 115   |   400 ft.   Jackup
Mubadala Petroleum has encountered oil with the Manora-6 well in the Gulf of Thailand, drilled using jackup ENSCO 115 (400'-IC). An oil column was found in the primary reservoir section of approximately 19', below a depth of 7,312' TVDSS. The well is located 2.9km from the Manora oil field. Results are being interpreted and the operator has now chosen to proceed with a side track (Manora-6ST) to test the M prospect.

Thursday, November 30, 2017   |   Tasha   |   400 ft.   Jackup
As suggested in a June 2017 RigLogix news item, Apexindo jackup Tasha (400'-IC) has been awarded a direct negotiation contract from Petronas subsidiary PC North Madura for a single well off Indonesia. The award is an unused option from a previous contract the operator completed earlier in 2017. It is not yet clear when drilling will begin, although the rig is scheduled to go idle in February 2018 after the firm portion of its current contract with Premier Oil ends. That operator has an option term, but that would not begin until 2Q/2018, leaving a gap for the PC Madura work.
