Recent Offshore Rig Activity Notes Sample
Below is a sample of the 50 rig activity notes from the last week available to RigLogix subscribers.
Friday, May 19, 2017   |   Noble Paul Romano   |   6,000 ft.   Semisub
Noble Corporation reports its contracto in the Gulf of Mexico with Hess for DW semi Noble Paul Romano (6,000') will now end in early August. Work in Garden Banks Block 216 was scheduled to end June 30, but operations will now push the completion date out. The rig is working on a six-month option that started in December 2016.

Friday, May 19, 2017   |   Petrobras X   |   4,500 ft.   Semisub
Bids received May 10 for the remaining five rigs recently put up for sale by Petrobras. Four semis, Petrobras X ($900,000), Petrobras XVI ($920,000), Petrobras XVII ($1 million) and Petrobras XXIII ($1.3 million) were sold to Rota Shipping, while jackup Petrobras III, stacked since 2009, was sold to America Oleo e Gas. All five rigs are expected to be scrapped. As recently reported, premium jackups Petrobras 59 and Petrobras 60 were sold to Rowan for $30 million each.

Monday, May 15, 2017   |   Petrobras 59   |   350 ft.   Jackup
Further to a March 26, 2017 RigLogix report that said Petrobras had put its entire rig fleet up for sale, Rowan reports it was the high bidder at a recent public auction for jackups Petrobras 59 and Petrobras 60. Sale price, pending Petrobras approval, was only $30 million per rig. The rigs are LeTourneau Super 116E designs built in 2012 and 2013 respectively at a cost of $360 million each. The Petrobras 59 is currently working, while the Petrobras 60 has been stacked since February 2016. Per the original terms of the sale, once approved Rowan will have 30 days in which to take delivery of the units. They likely will be mobilized to Rowan's Gulf of Mexico facility in Sabine Pass, TX. Petrobras has all seven rigs it owns up for sale as a part of its effort to raise $45 billion for debt management.

Monday, May 22, 2017   |   ENSCO 102   |   400 ft.   Jackup
ENSCO and Arena Offshore have signed a deal for a 400-day contract in the Gulf of Mexico. The ENSCO 102 (400'-IC) will mobilize from the North Sea around early October for work beginning in November. While the initial location is not yet confirmed, it is believed it may be in Eugene Island Block 338. The rig has been idle since completing an accommodation contract for ENGIE in November 2016. The deal will keep the rig busy to December 2018.

Thursday, May 25, 2017   |   ENSCO 122   |   400 ft.   Jackup
Market sources indicate that NAM has secured a new three-well contract plus options for the provision of jackup ENSCO 122. The contract will cover work in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. The rig is currently on contract with Ithaca Energy in the UK sector until late August 2017 and it is understood that the new term with NAM will begin thereafter.
