We are currently looking for a Construction Director to join us on an LNG project in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for safe on- time completion of construction of LNG Plant and associated facilities
  • Leadership and performance of the owners construction team
  • Recruitment of resources to support construction organization during project
  • Ensure International standards and best practices are adopted as part of civil and marine delivery
  • Manage and coordinate progress, quality and deliverables
  • Establish Plans/ Schedules and Milestones
  • Liaise and coordinate with EPC contractor during site activities
  • Lead the site civil and marine inputs during FEED and Site Construction
  • Support the delivery and handover of plant and facilities to WLNG Operations
  • LNG Plant and facilities meets design expectations of WLNG
  • Interface with Commercial and WLNG for effective outcome
  • Timely intervention and reporting of issues and risks to Director
  • Commpliance with company HSSE policies and guidelines
  • HSSE within the civil and marine team
  • Lead and establish HSSE international best practices for the project
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to influence overall HSSE behavior
  • Supports and inputs to HSSE risk register and mitigation processes

Qualification and Experience:

  • Degree/ Diploma qualifications relevant to construction of Oil/Gas facility
  • Extensive Management experience preferably in Oil & Gas Industry or associated industry
  • Must have experience interacting with first nations and working alongside Unions in Canada
  • Leadership of a multi- disciplined organization for civil and construction & (marine interface also preferred)
  • Development of a Greenfield site through all construction phases to final completion
  • Experience in BC and Canadian construction standards and codes
  • Experience as owners representative for interface with EPC contractor
  • Highly experienced in planning, scheduling and execution of activities
  • Managing risks and mitigation measures
  • Reporting and communication of progress at a Director level
  • Facilitating and progressing the project with external stakeholders
  • Previous experience in Canadian and BC regulatory requirements
  • Strong in cost control/optimization and management processes
  • Experienced in unionized and non- unionized construction management
  • Willingness to undertake business travel when required
