Responsibilities

  • Build and grow advertising revenue nationally through sales efforts and relationships
  • Own, develop, and maintain long lasting relationships with clients
  • Strong focus on brand new and win back business
  • Plan, organize, and deliver both formal and informal presentations to decision makers, using appropriate materials, information, and format to create the highest impact and persuasive outcome
  • Initiate and deliver sales proposals and demonstrations with key decision makers and stakeholders and negotiate/overcome objections to close deals
  • Maintain a high level "cutting edge" knowledge and awareness of the key business drivers in the relevant market sector(s) for the job
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline for future new business in order to meet all sales targets and KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field or equivalent proven experience
  • Proven sales track record; 2+ years of solid business development experience with at least 1 year in online/digital media; oil and gas industry experience a plus
  • Understanding of online advertising sales and product and trends in advertising
  • Excellent sales and communication skills; ability to function in a high visibility role
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, results oriented environment
  • Ability to achieve results while working independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Rigzone team
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities within prospective clients through Internet research, lead generation, networking and cold calling
  • Driven, assertive, sense of urgency, goal/results-oriented
  • Proficiency in using the Internet, MS Office Suite and CRMs (Salesforce)
