Our client, an international oil and gas operator is seeking a Procurement Planner for a direct hire, expat opportunity based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Role requires strong experience in unconventional oil/gas. Role will be responsible for managing/collaborating with a team of inventory management and planning specialists for drilling and completions team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage/collaborate with a team of Inventory management and planning specialists for Onshore D&C team
  • Relating, measuring, and reporting forecast accuracy and the impacts it has on suppliers and operations
  • Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed along with continuous improvement utilizing all data pertinent to creating the demand forecast (historical demand, market trends, seasonality accounts and inventory levels.)
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) that are approved by management.
  • Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future
  • Processing and disposition of all related to materials.
  • Review and release all MRP planned requisitions to replenish stock that maintains stock levels set in the system by Inventory Analyst's.
  • Review and action all MRP exceptions and resolve issues to make sure materials are available for planned work.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Has managed materials management (Inventory, logistics, and warehousing) function in the oil & gas industry.
  • Has worked on outsourcing logistics and warehousing activities to a third party service provider.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within materials management function.
  • Has worked in Unconventional Resources
  • Worked with a team of specialist Materials Management resources to establish a flexible and efficient Materials Management capability for the Supply Chain, including the development of inventory policies, the management of warehousing and logistics service providers, and ongoing coordination of Materials Management activities to ensure robust service delivery and the fulfillment of internal end user requirements (e.g. exploration, drilling, production, surface operations, projects, and support functions)
