The Atlantic Canada Centre for Electrical Technolgies (ACCET) provides competency-based training courses in Hazardous and Potentially Explosive Environments (Ex Training), telecommunications structured cabling (copper data and voice) and fibre optics installation and splicing. The training facilities are unique in North America in terms of replicating offshore electrical operating environments.

The 5-day Ex for Electricians & Technicians course covers the Installation, Inspection and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous and Potentially Explosive Environments. This course is intended for electricians and technicians working in offshore or onshore facilities.

The 3-day Ex Engineering & Inspection course is intended for those involved in the Design, Specification, Inspection and Supervision of work on Electrical Equipment in Hazardous and Potentially Explosive Environments.

The 5-day Fibre Optic Installation and Splicing and Telecommunications Structured Cabling courses are designed to enhance the knowledge of the Technician in the use of Fiber Optics and copper media for Communication and Data Transmission in Industry.
